Giovanni Pilu's restaurant in a heritage listed beach house above Freshwater Beach, serving contemporary Italian food inspired by Sardinia. The Gallura tasting menu is the way to do it, and the room is a favourite for special occasions and weddings. Pilu Baretto, the casual cafe and bar, is alongside.
The dining room looks straight over Freshwater Beach, and for all the polish it feels warm and unpretentious. Lunch is as popular as dinner for birthdays. Bookings are essential, and there is parking on site.
