Palm Beach
Surf beach · Palm Beach
Sydney's northernmost beach, a 2.3 km arc of sand known to many as the setting of Home and Away. Surf on the ocean side, a rock pool at the southern end, and at the north the walk up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse, with views that reach to the Central Coast.
The sand runs from the rocks of Little Head in the south to Barrenjoey, which it joins to the mainland. The water is clear and the waves are usually friendly for swimming. It gets busy on weekends and holidays, so arrive early for a park.
