North Curl Curl rock pool
Rock pool · North Curl Curl
Ocean pool on the rock shelf below the headland at the northern end of Curl Curl Beach, reached along the rocks or by a track over the headland. Waves wash in at high tide, and it feels wilder than most of the beaches' pools.
The council closes the pool when the sea is rough, but the walk is worth it for the view even then. There are toilets and showers near the beach. Street parking is free; the car park by the surf club is expensive.
