The Frenchs Forest shop of Mrs Jones The Baker, the Northern Beaches artisan bakery run by pastry chefs Barry and Lucy Jones: breads made with organic flour and a natural starter, cakes, pastries and handmade gelato. The pies, sausage rolls and almond croissants win the most fans.
The pastry is flaky and golden and the fillings are generous. The coffee is good too, though the gelato scoops are on the small side. Catering needs to be ordered ahead by phone.
