Manly Beach
Surf beach · Manly
Sydney's famous surf beach on the ocean side of Manly, running from South Steyne to Queenscliff under a line of Norfolk pines, with patrolled swimming, surf breaks and a beachfront promenade. The ferry ride from Circular Quay is half the fun.
The ferry takes about 30 minutes and passes the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. From the wharf it is a short walk along The Corso to the sand. Weekends are busy, so come early for a patch of beach.
