Avalon Beach & rock pool
Surf beach · Avalon Beach
Surf beach a short walk from Avalon village, patrolled by its surf club, with a rock pool at the southern end. In 1999 locals famously turned away the TV show Baywatch, which wanted to film here.
The northern end, known as North Avalon, is the pick for surfers, and the calmer southern corner by the pool suits families. The village shops and cafes are a few minutes' walk away.
